Oakland Athletics Team Report - April 27

(Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics, winners of three straight and four of their last five games, will look for the sweep today as they face the Indians in the finale of a three-game set at the Coliseum.

Righthander Tim Hudson will head to the mound for the Athletics, who are looking to make it four wins in a row.

Hudson pitched well in his last outing, allowing just three runs on three hits and four walks over 7 2/3 innings against the Tigers at the Coliseum on Tuesday. Hudson did not figure in the decision.

The Georgia native has had tough times against the Indians in his career, posting a 1-2 record and a high ERA of 7.83 in only six starts.

Last night, Chris Singleton finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a run batted in to lead the Athletics to a 6-3 win over the Indians.

Mark Ellis added two hits and two runs batted in for Oakland, which has taken the first two of this three-game home set with Cleveland. Miguel Tejada, Scott Hatteberg and Eric Byrnes all stroked two hits in the win.

Chad Bradford (2-2) earned the victory for Oakland. He threw 1 2/3 innings with one strikeout. Starter John Halama had a no-hitter through 6 1/3 frames, the longest a pitcher has taken a no-hitter so far this season.

Keith Foulke notched his sixth save of the season after pitching the ninth.
