This is CITY JOURNAL —
A weekly Public Affairs presentation concerning topics of interest to our diverse Southern California communities. Airing Sundays at 5am
Born in the home city of the Motown Sound, her teen years were influenced by people whose creative talents would soon change the world of contemporary music and entertainment. An association with that same creative energy continued into her adult years.
She attended Wayne State University, and the following years led to many exciting adventures-as a flight attendant and fashion model. It was during this time a fellow model introduced her to the owner of a radio station in Seattle-and so began her entry into the exciting and challenging arena of Broadcast news.
Tobi’s natural ability to communicate and command an on-air presence served her well in making significant transitions…and more opportunities. She capitalized on being in the right place at the right time and brought an eagerness to learn. As a result, she developed a unique mastery of her craft as On-Air Talent (i.e.,. disc jockey, sports anchor, talk show host, game show host, Dialing For Dollars, Morning Movie host and public affairs host).
To build a career on an aspect of natural interaction, namely--conversation, Tobi is giving more attention to matters in the public interest on KIIS FM, KLAC AM as well as her nationally recognized shows, "Sunday Journal" on KOST 103.5 FM and “City View” on KBIG 104.3 FM
