about the host: Larry Burnett
Larry has covered  the Lakers  since 1990, the last 9 years on 570-KLAC, where he hosts the Laker Zone pre game show, takes calls on the Lakers Line post game show and, when needed, fills in on Lakers play by play. He is also the radio & television voice of the WNBA L.A. Sparks.

Before moving to L.A., Larry spent five years anchoring ESPN's Sports Center and hosting the" NBA Today Show."  He has done some acting, too, in ABC's "The Practice," NBC's "Blackout Effect" and Warren Miller's film, "Steeper & Deeper." In his more than 20 years of  broadcasting experience , Larry has covered  the Dodgers, Angels, Clippers, and Kings...reported on MLB, PAC-10 Football, NHL, NCAA and Boxing and anchored ESPN's 1988 Olympic coverage from Calgary and Seoul.

Southern California Broadcasters Assoc. awarded Larry the award of "Best Sports Anchor Team" for the years 1993, 1994, 1995.  He won an Emmy for Best Sports Feature and  also received the Associated Press' "Outstanding Achievement Award." 

Larry is a University of Tulsa graduate in Communications.
